Depremden etkilenen bölgelerde 304 bin 700 üniversite öğrencisi bulunuyor. Türkiye çapında temel eğitim düzeyindeki her 5 öğrenciden 1’i depremzede. Öğrenciler, yaşamlarına ve eğitimlerine devam edebilmek için bursa büyük ihtiyaç duyuyor. ÇYDD Genel Başkanı Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı ve Yükseköğretim Kurulu’nun öncelikle doğru envanter çıkarması gerektiğini belirterek “Bölgede kaç öğrenci vardı? Bu öğrenciler hangi okullarda hangi sınıflardaydı? Bölgede kalan öğrenci sayısı nedir? Diğer illere göç eden öğrenci sayısı kaçtır? Çadır okullar kurulup bölgede kalan öğrencilerin eğitim almaları sağlanmalı” dedi.
OKUL ÇAĞINDAKİ TÜM ÇOCUKLAR VE GENÇLER
Okul çağındaki tüm çocuk ve gençlerin okula gitmesi için seferber olunması gerektiğini vurgulayan Prof.Yüksel, “Kredi Yurtlar Kurumu, belediyeler, sivil toplum örgütleri, bütün depremzede öğrencilere burs vermeli. Burs uzun vadeli bir destektir, bu sayede çocuklar ve gençler meslek sahibi olabilir. Bu yıl üniversiteyi bitirecek gençlere iş olanağı sağlanmalı. Kurumlar depremzedeler için kontenjan ayırmalı. Anne ve babasız kalan çocuklar devlet kurumlarına alınmalı” şeklinde konuştu.
Derneğin “Anadolu’da Bir Kızım Var” ve “Bir Işık da Siz Yakın” burs projelerinden bölge öğrencileri için iki bin yeni burs kontenjanı açıldığını ve başvuruların alınmaya başlandığını söyleyen Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel, “Kız çocukları derneğimizin önceliği. Bize başvuran her kız çocuğuna burs vermeye çalışacağız” diye konuştu.
DÖRT AYLIK ACİL DESTEK VERİLECEK
Türk Eğitim Vakfı’nın (TEV) “afet bursu”na ilk 40 saatte 37 bin 598 başvuru yapıldı. Vakıf, öncelikle anne-baba kaybı yaşayanlar olmak üzere toplam 1000 üniversite öğrencisine dört aylık acil destek verecek.
Vakfın genel müdürü Banu Taşkın, üzerine aciliyetle eğildikleri konulardan birinin TEV bursiyeri olmayan ancak afetten etkilenen ve eğitime kesintisiz devam ihtiyacı olan üniversite öğrencilerine destek ulaştırmak olduğunu söyledi. Taşkın, “Afet nedeniyle uzaktan eğitime geçilmesiyle birlikte teknoloji erişim bursuna ihtiyacı olan 1000 gence bilgisayar desteği sağlamak için planlamalarımızı yapıyoruz. Bugün yaşadığımız birçok sıkıntının eğitimle çözüleceğine inanıyoruz” dedi.

Deprem bölgesindeki çocuklara her tür desteği vermek için çalışacaklarını söyleyen Özdemir, “Salgın, çocuk ve gençlerin eğitim hayatlarını ciddi şekilde sekteye uğratmıştı.
