Proje uygulaması, birbirini destekleyen “Atölye”,“Dolaşıyor istasyon” “Online katılım” modelleriyle gerçekleştirildi. “Bakım Ustası” rolü üstlenen çocuklar, önce İstanbul’un rengini, sesini, kokusunu, çağrıştırdıklarıyla betimledi ardından İstanbul’u “bakıma” aldı.
İstanbul’un beğendikleri, iyi işlediğini düşündükleri yönlerini belirleyerek “madalya” veren çocuklar, aksayan, sorunlu gördükleri yönlerini belirleyerek iyileştirilmesi için çözüm önerilerini ve “bakım talimatları”nı oluşturdu. “Benim için İstanbul” başlığı altında alınan cevaplar, çocukların İstanbul algısının oldukça çelişkili ve karmaşık olduğunu gösteriyor.
