Kocaeli’nin Kandıra ilçesinde, Zafer İlkokulu Müdürü Faruk Özaydın (51) ile Müdür Yardımcısı Hüdaver Soylu (46), yeni eğitim- öğretim yılı öncesi, ellerine fırçaları alıp, okullarını boyadı. Öğrencilerinin yeni eğitim yılına temiz bir okulda girmelerini istediklerini ifade eden öğretmenler, “Amacımız bulunduğumuz ortamı çocukları için en iyi hale getirmek” dedi.
Kandıra Aydınlık Mahallesi’ndeki Zafer İlkokulu binası, öğrenciler için yetersiz kalmaya başlayınca, okul binasının yıkılıp yeniden inşa edilmesine karar verildi. Yeni binanın inşa edileceği sürede Zafer İlkokulu öğrencileri, yaklaşık 4 kilometre uzaklıktaki Akdurak Mahallesi’nde boş durumda olan eski meslek lisesi binasına taşındı. Bunun üzerine okul müdürü 30 yıllık eğitimci Faruk Özaydın ve 22 yıllık eğitimci Müdür Yardımcısı Hüdaver Soylu, yaz tatili döneminde ellerine fırçaları alarak okul duvarlarını boyamaya başladı.
13 sınıfı ve 200 öğrencisi bulunan okulu, yeni eğitim- öğretim yılında temiz ve güzel bir hale getirmeyi hedeflediklerini belirten Müdür Yardımcısı Hüdaver Soylu, öğrencilere binanın yeni haliyle eğitim verecekleri için heyecanlı olduklarını ifade etti. Zafer İlkokulu Müdürü Faruk Özaydın, taşındıkları binanın uzun bir süre kullanılmamasından dolayı atıl durumda olduğunu dile getirerek, şunları söyledi:
“Daha önce burası meslek lisesi olarak kullanılmış ve uzun zamandır boş olduğundan dolayı bir takım eksiklikleri vardı. Geldiğimiz zaman burası dökük bir binaydı, ona rağmen bir sene burada bu şekilde eğitim yaptık. Yeni okulumuzun yapımı da uzadığı için müdür yardımcımızla beraber bulunduğumuz ortamı öğrencilerimiz için en güzel şekilde nasıl yapabilir diye düşündük ve tadilat yapmaya karar verdik. Zaten ilkokul çocuğu oldukları için, okulun duvarları cıvıl cıvıl farklı renklerde olsun istedik. Çocuklar, okula girdikleri zaman üzerlerindeki yorgunluğu atsınlar istedik. Bizim de zaten tek derdimiz bulunduğumuz ortamı ve çocukları en iyi şekilde hazırlamak.”
