İstanbul Serbest Mimarlar Derneği- İstanbulSMD, bu yıl İstanbul Planlama Ajansı- İPA desteğiyle onuncusu düzenlenen “Kartal – Geçici Barınma Senaryoları” başlıklı “S.O.S. İstanbul – Mimarlık Öğrencilerine Açık Fikir Projesi Yarışması”na, ülke genelindeki üniversitelerden 97 projeyle rekor sayıda başvuru oldu.
Ülkemizin değerli mimar ve akademisyenlerinden oluşan jüri üyelerinin titiz değerlendirmeleri sonucu ödül almaya hak kazanan 11 projenin sahiplerine ödülleri, 24 Ocak 2025 tarihinde İPA’da gerçekleştirilen kolokyumun ardından düzenlenen törenle takdim edildi.
DOĞAL AFET VE KENTSEL DÖNÜŞÜM
“S.O.S. İstanbul 2024: Kartal- Geçici Barınma Senaryoları” yarışmasının katılımcıları, İstanbul’un çözüm gerektiren en önemli gündem maddelerinden biri olan “doğal afet riski” ve bununla ilişkili olarak son dönemde güncel bir tartışma ve yapım faaliyeti olarak öne çıkan “kentsel dönüşüm” meselesinin çözümüne yönelik İBB, İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi’ne vizyon kazandıracak oldukça çarpıcı projeler geliştirdiler.
YARIŞMANIN AMAÇ VE HEDEFİ
“S.O.S. İstanbul 2024 ile yarışmaya konu olan alanda, deprem ve kentsel dönüşüm nedeniyle ortaya çıkan yeni ihtiyaçlar ve değişken yoğunlukları işaret eden farklı mimari tasarım potansiyellerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Bu değerlendirme ile akılcı, özgün ve nitelikli tasarım yaklaşımlarının, günümüz mimarisine ışık tutabilecek işlevsel ve yenilikçi çözümlerin öne çıkarılması, kentsel farkındalığı yüksek kurgusal model ve projelerin saptanması hedeflendi.
