Başarılı ve maddi olanakları sınırlı öğrencilere burs vererek Türkiye’ye ve insanlığa katkı sağlayacak öncü gençlerin yetişmesini destekleyen Türk Eğitim Vakfı (TEV), ‘Eğitimli Kızlar Umutlu Yarınlar’’projesiyle 12’nci kez koşulan Runatolia Maratonu’na katıldı. TEV adına maratonda 479 gönüllü koşucu yer aldı. Gönüllü koşucular, 42 kilometrelik maraton, 21 kilometrelik yarı maraton, 10 kilometreyle koştu. Maratonda kepleriyle birlikte koşan TEV koşucuları, ‘Adım Adım Oluşumu’ üzerinden yapılan bağışlar 1 milyon TL’yi geçti.

Maratonla ilgili açıklamada bulunan TEV Genel Müdürü Yıldız Günay, “Günümüzün, geleceğimizin aydınlanması için iyilik yaratmaya, hatta daha büyük bir enerjiyle destek çağrısı yapmaya devam edeceğiz. Genç kızların hayallerine kavuşması için koşuya katılan ve koşucuların kampanyalarına bağış yapan gönüllülere teşekkür ediyorum.
TEV’in maratonda ilk hedefi 500.000 TL idi. Ancak koşu gününden önce bu hedefe ulaştık. Bağışlar çoğaldıkça hayallerine kaldığı yerden devam edecek genç kızlarımızın sayısı da artacak.
Günümüzde kızlarımız, maddi kaygılardan ziyade ailelerin baskısı yüzünden okuyamıyor ya da okutulmuyor. Bu farkındalıkla kızlarımız okusun yarınlara umut olsun diye böyle bir kampanya başlattık ve şimdi de Runatolia Maratonu’nda gönüllülerimizle birlikte iyilik peşinde koşarak genç kızlarımızın hayalini gerçeğe dönüştürmek için bağış kampanyamıza herkesi davet ediyoruz” dedi.
